Washington: Ashton Kutcher recently went on a Twitter rant to defend the company Uber against bad press, it has been reported.

The ‘Two and a Half Men’ actor tweeted that there’s nothing wrong about digging up dirt on shady journalists post it was reported that the ride-hailing service company’s senior vice president, Emil Michael, was trying to dig up dirt on journalists who have negatively criticized the company in the media, E! Online reported.

As long as journalists are interested and willing to print half truths as facts, then it’s very important to question the source, he further added.

The 36-year-old star also clarified that he was speaking for himself and not for Uber. However, Kutcher is reportedly an investor in the company.

Kutcher also insisted that journalists should be held to the same standards as public figures and concluded his rant with, “GoodForRatings TrafficSpike WelcomeToShockJournalism.”
