Arjun borrowing from Salman
Arjun borrowing from Salman

We all know how much love and respect Arjun Kapoor has for his mentor Salman Khan. It was Salman who noticed the actor in Arjun much before Arjun discovered it himself, when Arjun was much heavier and heftier than what he is today. Salman trained the boy to look the star that he looks today.

The love that Arjun has in his heart for Salman shows and the young actor can never stop talking about him or never stop to praise him whenever he sees an opportunity. Salman has always had a soft corner for Arjun as he is Boney Kapoor’s son, who has been a producer to many of Salman’s films and Salman’s dear friend Anil Kapoor’s nephew, it’s a known fact that the Kapoors have a very close bond with the Khan family.

Now when Arjun is climbing the ladder of success, he talks fondly of Salman and believes in his idea of treating success and failure equally and being detached from all the glitz that surrounds this trade.

Arjun is full of gratitude when it comes to his mentor and fondly says, “A lot of things stem in me because of the way he conducts himself, the way he talks or approaches his work, and how he is not affected by success and failure. That is the biggest quality of Salman bhai that I appreciate. He has not changed for anybody, if he gives ten flops or hits he is still the same. I don’t want success to affect me to that extent that I change or failure affects me to that extent that I get sad, jittery and negative. Salman bhai has maintained that and has retained his core qualities nicely. I would like to learn that and imbibe that in personal life.”

Arjun would be seen in Yash Raj Film’s next, ‘Gunday’ starring Ranveer Singh and Priyanka Chopra and is ready to hit the screens on Valentine’s Day. While some feel that GUNDAY would be another masala entertainer on the block, Arjun completely refutes it by clarifying, “’Gunday’ is not a mindless commercial film. I think we as young actors cannot do such kind of cinema. We have not created an audience for ourselves; they just go to see our films and not us. Audience has accepted us but they are still discovering us. The idea of ‘Gunday’ is not to cater to single screen audience alone.”

Arjun would be seen opposite alleged girlfriend Alia Bhatt in his next film ‘2 States’ that has been produced by Dharma Productions. He is even a part of ‘Tevar’ which stars Sonakshi Sinha. Arjun is on a roll these days and has been all up to experiment everything that the makers have to offer him.  Good going Arjun!
