Akshay Kumar has also been one of the chill actors who claps back when something unexpected happens. The actor currently busy with Kesari’s promotions, during a press conference had a savage reaction for a reporter who compared Kesari with Ajay Devgn’s Pan Masala Ad.
A reporter asked Akshay to comment on the fact that his film’s name that talks about sacrifice has also been used during Ajay Devgn’s pan masala ad slogan ‘Bolo zuban kesari’. As much as it left him applauded, even producer Karan who was present at the event thought it was ridiculous.
However Akshay’s response left co-actor Parineeti in giggles, “I don’t think like that. I have never ever imagined in my entire life that I will be asked such question. But since you have asked I will try to answer.”
After a few seconds he went on to say, “Even if I spend my entire life thinking the apt answer for this question, I won’t be able to come up with any.”
Kesari is a historic drama based on the Battle of Saragarhi fought between the British Indian army’s Sikh Regiment comprising of 21 soldiers and 10,000 Afghan tribesmen in 1897. Akshay will be seen in the role of Havildar Ishar Singh who leads the group of soldiers to fight a war with bravery and valour.
Talking about the film he later said, “Looking at the subject who wouldn’t want to be part of it. Not many people knew about Battle of Saragarhi and when I heard it I wanted to do it. The last 15-20 minutes of the film are very emotional. It has been an emotional journey on the film.”
Akshay also insisted that this film should be shown to the kids and the youth since it will be an educational film about our country’s actual heroes. Produced by Cape of Good Hope Films and Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions, the film releases on March 21.
