Star kids Varun Dhawan and Alia Bhatt took Bollywood by storm with their power-packed debut in Student Of The Year in 2012. Interestingly, they have featured in number of Bollywood films together which includes Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania, Badrinath Ki Dulhania, and are now back in collaboration for Karan Johar’s Kalank and have been quite the mischievous pair on sets.
In a recent interview with Filmfare, Varun spilled the tea on his bond with Alia saying, “The best thing is she helps me with my character. She does all the work. She cracks my character. She also gives me references. (Laughs) Until she doesn’t do that, there’s a lot of friction on the sets. Till that doesn’t happen, I’m not happy with her. If she doesn’t act out my scenes, she’s not doing her job as a co-star.”
However, since both actors are circling around a well to do love life, Varun with Natasha and Alia with Ranbir Kapoor, when Dhawan was asked about taking relationship advice from Alia, he contradicted from his friendship and said, “No, please! I’ll not take that from her either. She’s the last person I’ll take relationship advice from. One good thing about our friendship is that we don’t discuss those aspects of our lives with each other. Our discussions are around work because both of us are equally driven about our careers. But yes most of the time, we end up making fun of each other.”
Other than Alia and Varun, Kalank also stars Madhuri Dixit, Sanjay Dutt and Sonakshi Sinha in lead roles, and is scheduled for a 2019 release.
