Shraddha Kapoor recently dropped out of the Saina Nehwal biopic, that she had also begun shooting for. After being sick for some time the actress had to resume work for other committed projects and Parineeti Chopra stepped into her shoes. The replacing actor has already began training for the role the ace shuttler’s role.
Shraddha had been training for a few months and Parineeti will have to buckle up to catch up to the schedule. She recently shared a picture after one of her training sessions and wrote, “Post training bliss!” Even though tired Chopra’s smiling picture says it all.
Earlier, in an interview Parineeti said, the project is perfect for her and she will give her best to do justice for the film.
“This project is absolutely perfect for me. Amole (Gupte, director) sir and his team are ensuring I have everything that I need. A great physio team and world-class players have been roped in to train and condition me. Everything how Saina plays, who she has played with and against, every match she has been in has been documented. It’s important to imbibe all that information and present it on screen. I’m happy, but also very nervous,” she told the daily.
The actress will be seen as a biopic leading lady for the first time and she has been giving it her all. From waking up at 5 am, training on the court to rigorous gym sessions.
While talking about the prep she added, “Prep usually starts early because we have booked courts in slots when there are no distractions of any kind. We start at 6 am and wind up by 8 am. I will have to live this regimented life for the next nine months but I am pretty kicked about it. I want to do justice to the film and to Saina,”
Directed by Amol Gupte and presented by Bhushan Kumar, the untitled biopic is set to release in 2020.
