So they used to be great buddies but Aamir Khan has never promoted his films on Salman Khan’s ‘Bigg Boss’ and he don’t want to start now. We wonder how Salman feels about the fact that his pal Aamir is longing for him to see his upcoming sports film Dangal, but does not want to promote the Nitesh Tiwari-directed movie on Salman’s hugely popular show.
The actor has however assured fans that Salman’s show will telecast the trailer and promo of Dangal.
Incidentally, Salman had publicised Aamir’s 2013 film Dhoom 3 on ‘Bigg Boss’ minus the star.
To top it, who can forget that Salman had also featured in a sports drama film Sultan earlier this year? The film told a fictional story of Sultan Ali Khan; a wrestler who gains immense popularity and then loses it all… but goes on to rises from the ashes and prove himself a winner yet again.
It is know that the two actors had not discussed their wrestling-based dramas, despite the subjects of their films being somewhat similar. Salman had shared that he had even advised Aamir not to sport six-pack abs when playing a wrestler. While he was promoting Sultan, he had explained that there are different kinds of wrestlers.
Aamir had countered this by averring, “In an akhada you will see a wrestler who does mud fighting and is huge and has a paunch. But then there is Sushil Kumar (wrestler) who has a six-pack and he is fit. Even Geeta and Babita are fit and have no ounce of fat on them.”
It’s akhada time, we say!
