Earlier we reported of Aamir Khan and his wife Kiran Rao being spotted attending a meet at Producer’s Guild to discuss the steps that can be taken in making the industry a safer place for women. In a recent tweet Geetika Tyagi questioned Kiran Rao if Aamir would disassociate himself from those who have been prosecuted for sexual assault and molestation. Here’s the tweet:
The person in question here is Subhash Kapoor, director of Jolly LLB who had been accused by Tyagi of forcing herself on her and dragging her during a party. It was aided by a video that went viral in 2014, of the actress slapping the director as she went in for a confrontation with Subhash Kapoor in the presence of his wife. Kapoor, was later arrested on the charges, but then released on bail.
In a response Aamir released a statement of walking out of his next project ‘Mogul’ which was to be helmed by Kapoor.

Geetika has commended his decision and also went on to say how such kind of support is after all much needed.
