Patna: A recent video of a school Principal being thrashed by parents is doing the rounds on the Internet. The incident is of a school in Sarwaan village under Masaurhi police station in Bihar's Patna district where allegations are made that a school head inappropriately touched girl students. Following the incident, the Patna police arrested the principal on Saturday. According to the reports, the principal was thrashed and kept hostage for some time by parents of the girls.

Taking cognizance of the incident, Patna DM Chandra Shekhar Singh ordered immediate suspension of the accused principal. The DM also directed the district education officer to submit an investigation report of the incident within 24 hours. "The incident is of a primary school at Sarwaan village. Some parents of the students filed a written complaint against the principal Avinash Kumar (45) that their children were being sexually harassed by him," said Masaurhi SHO Ranjit Kumar Rajak.
The SHO said, "The parents alleged that the principal calls the girls and does dirty acts. The incident came to light when a girl student stopped going to the school. On being asked by the parents, the student narrated her ordeal. After this, the family members of the student along with the guardians of other children reached the school and thrashed the principal."
