Mahavir Jayanti: April 10, 2025
Mahavir Jayanti, a significant festival for the Jain community, commemorates the birth of Lord Mahavir. This important day, also referred to as Mahavir Janma Kalyanak, will be celebrated on April 10. Schools in the majority of states will remain closed on this festival.
Good Friday: April 18, 2025
Good Friday, a significant Christian holiday, is observed as the day of the crucifixion of Jesus Christ. Also referred to as Holy Friday, Great Friday, or Black Friday, it is a prayer day, fasting day, and charity day. Good Friday will be on April 18 this year, and schools nationwide are supposed to be on holiday.
