The HSC Class 12th results were announced two days ago after which the usual hustle bustle regarding re-evaluation procedure has started. Many are opting for the offline procedures to avoid payment failure while others are harrowed by issues in submission of applications for the photocopies of answer sheets.
The Mumbai divisional office of the state board, on Wednesday, started two counters in order to deal with the offline entries, and by Thursday it turned into five counters. Wednesday saw a total of 1,207 re-evaluation applications, out of which 1,000 were submitted online. On Thursday, 584 applications were filed online and a total of 1370 applications were received.
A lot of people came forward saying that they weren’t aware of the re-evaluation procedure. For which one first needs to apply for a photocopy of the answer sheet and then if unsatisfied with the marks given, a written recommendation from the respective teacher must be submitted along with the principal’s signature.
This year, 5,69,476 students from science, 4,82,372 from arts, 3,81,446 from commerce and 58,012 from vocational studies were giving their 12th boards for which a total of 2,957 examination centers were set up across Maharashtra.
This year’s results have been the lowest for Mumbai in terms of pass percentage. While overall the girls have surpassed the boys. Girls displayed a 90.26 pass percentage while boys were left behind with 82.40 pass percentage. Commerce students recorded an 88.28 pass percentage while students from science and arts recorded a pass percentage of 92.60 and 76.45 respectively.
A circular has been released by the board announcing re-examination will be held in July and August. Students interested in applying for the re-examination must go and get themselves registered online on www.mahasscboard.maharashtra.gov.in or www.mahasscboard.in. The commencement of the online form filling process is on June 3 and the last date of the same is June 14.
