Wellington : New Zealand batsman Ross Taylor has expressed that he wants to be at his aggressive best when his side will take on England in the forthcoming one-day series beginning on Tuesday.

The veteran batsman showed glimpses of his free-wheeling style as he produced a couple of fighting innings in the drawn Test series and smacked a quick-fire 77 off just 62 balls in the limited over game against Leicestershire.

Taylor said that he hasn’t scored as many as he would have liked, insisting that he has made a conscious effort to express himself and get back to the way he wants to play – to hit the ball like when he first played and made the New Zealand team, Stuff.co.nz reported.

Taylor has been one of the prolific batsmen in New Zealand’s one-day team and is only short of four centuries from becoming the batsman to hit the most number of ODI centuries

in his nation’s cricketing history.   —ANI
