Johannesburg: Ahead of Australia’s upcoming tour to New Zealand, skipper Steve Smith has admitted that it will be a real challenge for his side to win the series in abroad.
The 26-year-old insisted that his side played quite well at home, and hopes that they would be able to adapt to the conditions in New Zealand as well, Sport24 reported.
Smith also urged his pacers to work on their ‘swing’ if they want to win the forthcoming series. Smith further called on his side to perform better than they had performed during their recent Test series against West Indies.
Australia clinched the recently-concluded three-match Test series against the Windies 2-0, following the final match between the two sides ended in a draw. The world champions will now aim to continue their winning momentum when they visit New Zealand for the three-match ODI series and two-match Test series, starting from February 3.
