Karachi : Towering Pakistan fast bowler Mohammad Irfan has admitted that he still regrets missing the World Cup quarter-final clash against Australia due to injury. The 33-year-old suffered a stress fracture of the pelvis ahead of their key clash against eventual champions Australia in the World Cup’s knockout stage. Irfan insisted he is completely fit now as the rehabilitation process has been very good, but said that the regret of missing the World Cup quarter-final against Australia still exists, the Dawn reported. The left-arm bowler, who claimed eight wickets from five matches, said that he was so pumped up in that tournament and was bowling with fire but insisted that one couldn’t fight such things. However, the bowler has turned his focus on regaining fitness in order to stage an international return in Pakistan’s limited overs series against Sri Lanka in July.
