Chennai: Shane Watson’s fluent 96 in 53 balls with able support from Suresh Raina and Ambati Rayudu saw Chennai Super Kings (CSK) overhaul the target of 175 against Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) with six wickets in hand, here on Tuesday. Electing to field first, Chennai restricted the Sunrisers to 175 for 3 after the partnership of Manish Pandey and David Warner threathened to take the game away from the defending champions. The Chennai side gave only 41 runs in the final five overs.

Earlier, Manish Pandey and David Warner struck half-centuries as Sunrisers Hyderabad posted 175/3 in 20 overs against Chennai Super Kings in an Indian Premier League (IPL) clash at the M.A. Chidambaram Stadium here on Tuesday. Pandey remained unbeaten on 83 off 49 balls with the help of seven fours and three sixes but could not lead his team to an imposing total as Sunrisers managed only 51 runs in the last six overs after Warner’s dismissal.
