The happening of IPL 2019 just before the World Cup 2019 invited chances of injuries to players, and it looks like Rohit Sharma has just suffered something like that. Rohit Sharma, who is a confirmed player in World Cup squad for India, was injured during training sessions at Wankhede stadium.

The World Cup team is going to be announced by Indian selectors on April 15, and the injury, if serious, may affect Rohit’s selection. Rohit suffered a hamstring injury during training sessions before the IPL 2019 clash against Kings XI Punjab today. He left the stadium after getting injured and did not return later. While there was no confirmation about Rohit’s injury, his presence or absence in today’s IPL clash will give an indication of the same.

Rohit is a very important player for India at World Cup 2019. He is a trustworthy opener who has a lot of experience in the Indian team. His presence will be essential for team, when they start their World Cup 2019 journey in England.
