While India registered their historic 7th win against the arch-rivals Pakistan on Sunday at the Old Trafford stadium, Manchester, a lot of records were made and broken.

Here is a list of 10 records from the one-sided Indo-Pak encounter

1. Virat Kohli broke the record of Master Blaster Sachin Tendulkar by becoming the quickest to 11,000 runs from 222 innings in the One Day International format. Sachin passed this feat in 276 innings.

2. Rohit Sharma added a feather to his cap by scoring over 50 runs in five consecutive ODIs for India. He joins the likes of Sachin Tendulkar, Ajinkya Rahane and Virat Kohli (twice).

3. The duo of KL Rahul and Rohit Sharma added 136 runs together for the opening wicket, to register India's record-high opening partnership in the ICC Men's Cricket World Cup against Pakistan. Previously, former cricketers Navjot Sidhu and Sachin Tendulkar had formed a 90-run partnership during the 1996 edition against Pakistan.

4. Vijay Shankar is the third bowler to have taken a wicket off his very first ball in the World Cup.

5. Rohit Sharma’s 140 is the highest individual score by an Indian against Pakistan in World Cups. Earlier, the record was in the name of Virat Kohi (107) in Adelaide in 2015. His is also the second highest individual score against Pakistan in World Cups after the unbeaten 143 by Andrew Symonds in Johannesburg in 2003.

6. Rohit Sharma became the first Indian batsman to score back to back ODI hundreds against Pakistan following his unbeaten 111 in Dubai in Asia Cup 2018.

7. First time in India-Pakistan World Cup encounters, the captain winning the toss has decided to field first. In the first 6 clashes, they had chosen to bat first.

8. 341 ODI caps for MS Dhoni for India - the second most by any player after Sachin Tendulkar's 463 appearances. Alongside the 341 caps, he also appeared in three ODIs for a composite Asia XI.

9. 336/5 is the highest ever score by India against Pakistan in the World Cup matches. It is also the highest ever score against Pakistan in the World Cup.

10. Rohit surpasses Sachin Tendulkar for scoring most centuries for India in England in ODIs. He has now 4 centuries in the country, and is tied with Shikhar Dhawan.

India will next face Afghanistan at Southampton on June 22.
