It looks like the Vizag crowd witnessing the 1st T20 clash between India and Australia failed to use their common sense while paying condolences to the soldiers who were martyred during Pulwama attack. The Indian team wore black arm bands to pay respects to Pulwama attack martyrs. Moreover, a two-minute silence was also observed on Dr. Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy cricket stadium to pay respect to the soldiers just after the national anthem ceremony.

While Indian and Australian team players stood silent, the crowd started chanting slogans during the two-minute silence. People started shouting “Bharat Mata ki Jai”, witnessing which Indian skipper Virat Kohli also gestured crowd to stay quiet.
Twitterati were also annoyed on this gesture of Vizag crowd with some calling their behaviour as having ‘zero civic sense’ and ‘zero empathy’. Here are some of the tweets slamming the match crowd for shouting slogans during two-minute silence.

Meanwhile in the match, Australia bagged victory by three wickets on the last ball by chasing the 127-run target set by India. The next T20 will be played on February 27 at Bengaluru.
