Amid talks over his poor batting form, MS Dhoni proved everyone that he still has a lot of cricket talent in him after bagging the man of series award in Australia vs India ODI series. After winning the third ODI against Australia, MS gave the match ball to batting coach Sanjay Bangar. While giving away the ball to him, MS said, ‘Ball lelo nahi to bolega retirement le rahe hain’ (take the ball or people will say that I am taking retirement). Have a look at the video below.

Dhoni made his humorous comment as earlier people had predicted about his retirement after he had taken the ball after a match. Last year, during 3rd ODI against England at Headingley, MS had taken the ball in his hand after the match. This gesture made many people think that MS is going to retire. Such rumours were shared on social media.

Later, Dhoni had clarified his gesture saying that he was checking the swing of the ball. “(I took the ball) to see why we are not able to get enough reverse swing. Because we will be playing the World Cup in England, we have to (ensure) that we get reverse swing going. Because it is something that is very important. If the opposition is getting it, we should also get it, at some point or the other,” PTI had quoted Dhoni as saying.
