After 10 years of the infamous slap-gate controversy, Harbhajan Singh once again apologised to Sreesanth. Harbhajan said if he wants to rectify one mistake in his life, he would correct the slap-gate incident. “Whatever happened with Sreesanth.. me and him on the field.. lot of people talk about that incident now,” the 38-year-old told Behindwoods Air. “If I have to go back and rectify something in my life, I would correct that. I shouldn’t have done that,” he added.

Harbhajan also called Sreesanth as his brother and sent his best wishes to the former Indian pacer and his wife. “That was a mistake and I am sorry about that. It shouldn’t have happened. Sreesanth is a top guy and he had so much of skill. My best wishes to Sreesanth and his wife and to their children. No matter what people say, I am still your brother,” Harbhajan further said.

During the first edition of Indian Premier League (IPL) in 2008, Harbhajan slapped Sreesanth during a Mumbai Indians vs Kings XI Punjab match. Sreesanth was celebrating the victory of his team in an animated fashion, which annoyed Harbhajan. Controversy erupted over the incident and Harbhajan was banned from rest of the IPL matches.
