The third ODI between India and Australia is going to be a special one as all the Indian players will be seen wearing a camouflaged caps as a tribute to Indian Armed Forces. Moreover, the players have also decided to donate their match fees to the National Defence Fund, which will use the money to take care dependents of Pulwama attack martyrs. The act of donation also intends to encourage people to donate to National Defence Fund. This information was given by skipper Kohli during the toss ceremony.
The camouflaged caps were distributed by MS Dhoni to the players and staff just before the start of the match. Have a look at the video.
BCCI has also decided that Indian team will play one match on home soil in every calendar year wearing camouflaged caps as a way to honour the Indian Armed Forces. The move has been mooted by none other than MS Dhoni and current skipper Virat Kohli. In the first ODI, Indian players wore black bands and observed two-minutes of silence after the national anthem ceremony to pay condolences to the Pulwama martyrs.
