There is good news for the fans as well as Indian cricket team, with Bhuvneshwar Kumar training in the nets with the Indian Cricket team on Tuesday ahead of their clash with the West Indies on June 27 in Manchester.
Bhuvneshwar was ruled out of the match in the first 3 overs against Pakistan when he suffered a slight niggle in his hamstring. He was out for the next two matches. In his place, Mohammed Shami was chosen to back the bowling side with Yuzvendra Chahal and Jasprit Bumrah. Shami, in the last match against Afghanistan, took a hat-trick in the last over of the match.
This, however, had raised questions over whom to select for the next game against the Windies. Just then Sachin Tendulkar came to rescue and gave a suggestion regarding the pick.
“I would go for Bhuvi if he is fit, purely because of his ability to swing the ball. He can trouble the West Indies top-order with his swing,” Sachin Tendulkar told the official broadcasters when asked to be the selector for India’s next match against West Indies.
India will take on West Indies in their next fixture tomorrow June 27 at Old Trafford in Manchester.
