Brendon McCullum may have retired from international cricket but the 37-year-old still has the fielding skills of international standards. In a Big Bash match between Sydney Sixers and Brisbane heat, the former New Zealand player displayed an outstanding effort to stop a ball from going for a six. Moreover, he also stopped the same ball from going for a four in a second attempt.
The fielding show by McCullum happened during the 17th over of Mujeeb Ur Rahman when James Vince hit the ball for a high shot which would have been a six provided McCullum had not shown his immense fielding talent. Have a look at the video below.
The match saw Sydney Sixers defeating Brisbane heat by 79 runs after James Vince’s 75-run knock led the former to an impressive total of 177 runs. With Tom Curran and Sean Abbott’s three wickets each, Brisbane Heat were dismissed for the 98 runs in the second innings.
