The Indian squad is all ready to play the World Cup 2019 and the selected players are gearing up for the global tournament alongside IPL 2019. The Indian squad consists of Virat Kohli (C), Rohit Sharma (VC), Shikhar Dhawan, KL Rahul, Vijay Shankar, MS Dhoni, Kedar Jadhav, Dinesh Karthik, Yuzvendra Chahal, Kuldeep Yadav, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Jasprit Bumrah, Hardik Pandya, Ravindra Jadeja, Mohammed Shami. The tournament will commence from May, 30, 2019 in England and even though the team is selected with a lot of discussion, there are some questions which are still a crucial part of discussion.

Who exactly at no.4?

Batsmen at no.4 slot was a big question for Indian selectors and Vijay Shankar was picked up in the final call. But since KL Rahul has also got an invitation in the squad and he is not likely to open in presence of great openers Shikhar Dhawan and Rohit Sharma, it will be interesting to see whether KL Rahul or Vijay Shankar comes at that position. Moreover, even Kedar Jadhav can also be roped in that position as Hardik Pandya and Ravindra Jadeja can handle the death batting. Who exactly will bat at no.4 in the tournament will be an exciting thing to see and hopefully, warm-up games will provide an idea.

Multiple all-rounders

It is not wrong to say that India has many all-rounders in the World Cup squad. Hardik Pandya, Ravindra Jadeja, Vijay Shankar, Kedar Jadhav all have capabilities with bat and the ball. It will be a crucial decision how to include them in the team in each match so as to keep the balance well. Moreover, how many all-rounders to include in a particular match will also be a question for selectors.

If top order flops?

Shikhar Dhawan, Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli are the central power of batting zone. Performance of these players is very crucial in any match and if the top order fails in a given match, how the other batsmen handle the responsibility will be a great thing to see.

Are 4 pacers enough?

Wicket in England is very different from that of India and pacers have a major role to play on English ground. Talking about pacers in India, the squad only comprises of only three full time pacers, in addition to Hardik Pandya who can act as the fourth one. But will just four pacers be enough to manage the entire tournament. Also, should India have taken more pacers in the 15-man squad considering the schedule of tournament on English soil.

Kuldeep, Chahal or both?

Kuldeep Yadav and Yuzvendra Chahal are two top spinner for Indian team at present. Ravindra Jadeja has been roped as the third spinner. Yadav and Chahal have different abilities with the turn and whether India should play both of them in a same match will be a question. Which one of the both gets to play more will also be something to watch out for.
