Mumbai: All-round performance from Parag Jadhav helped Repro CC record a three-wicket win over Dena Bank in the opening match of the 10th RCF Corporate T20 cricket tournament for the Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar Cup, organised by Rashtriya Chemicals & Fertilizers Limited, at the RCF Colony ground, Chembur on Tuesday.
Jadhav first played a key role with the ball picking up two wickets for 33 and with good support from Nehal Katakdhond (2-18), as Repro managed to restrict Dena Bank to a modest total of 147 for seven. Dena Bank’s opener Akash Anand top scored 63 runs off 46, which included nine fours and one over the ropes, Jadhav led the Repro batting charge with a quick unbeaten 18-ball 34, as Repro won by three wickets and four balls to spare. Neel Kadam (36) was the other main contributor for the winners.
Later, Jadhav was adjudged as the Man of the Match. Tata Sports Club recorded a thumping 9-wicket win against Route Mobile, in the other match of the day. Route Mobile failed to defend the target of 116 as Tata Sports cruised passed the target with nine wickets in hand. Raju Kulkarni, the former Indian cricketer and Sudhir D. Panadare, Director (Technical) RCF who were the chief guests declared open the championship.

Route Mobile 116 (Vishal Dhagaonkar 36, Sumeet Dhekale 36; Brijesh Gharat 4-12, Ankur Singh 2/36) lost to Tata Sports Club 117-1 (Kaustubh Pawar 69*, Praful Waghela 35*.
