He added that industry collaboration and practical learning will transform the workforce.

There are special programs run for socially and economically backward class with Maharashtra leading in the number of startups in the country, he added.
Dr Praveer Sinha, Chairman, CII Western Region and CEO & Managing Director, Tata Power Company Ltd spoke that the Industry needs to initiate and create a skilling platform by reaching out to unskilled workforce which will increase overall productivity. As part of CII B20 initiative, we are working closely on mapping future of work and extensive work is being carried out to meet this and is working towards creating mobility pathways.
Ms Rekha Menon, Chairperson and Senior Managing Director, Accenture India mentioned that there is a need for symbiotic relationship between humans and technology. Skilling will be enhanced via industry collaboration, data driven workforce analytics and increasing women’s participation, she added.
