110 newly constructed family quarters were inaugurated at CRPF’s Counter Insurgency and Anti Terrorism School (CIAT), Chittoor, Andhra Pradesh recently. Kuldiep Singh, DG CRPF, who is on a visit to the institution, inaugurated the quarters in a ceremony and handed over the keys of the quarters to the families of the personnel. Later in the day, the DG also reviewed the training curriculum of the school which specialises in training Commandos of the force.
In his address, the DG congratulated the personnel and their families for new accommodations and remarked that as most of the deployment of CRPF personnel is in operational areas like J&K, LWE areas, and North East, the personnel get fewer opportunities of staying with their families. To mitigate this, the force headquarters concentrated efforts in creating family accommodations at suitable locations where the jawans can stay with their families in a stress free and secure environment. The DG also lauded CPWD for completing the project in due time.
72 Type-II, 22 Type-III, 13 Type-IV and 3 Type 5 Quarters with modern amenities and provisions for eco-friendly measures like rain water Harvesting have been built by CPWD. The project which was launched on 09/12/2019 was completed a month and a half before the stipulated date of completion and within a budget that is about Rs2 Crore less than estimated cost.
