The family welfare association of CRPF-CWA celebrated 26 years of its resolute commitment to serve the families of CRPF Bravehearts. In view of the pandemic, the day was observed adhering to COVID protocols and families joined the ceremony through the online platforms. In her address, Sangita Singh, President CWA extended best wishes to the families of more than 3.25 Lakh personnel and underlined the significant contribution of the association in matters pertaining to Women empowerment, health awareness, career counselling of children, assistance in times of need, imparting vocational training, addressing issues of Divyang children, gender sensitization and other multi-dimensional welfare related activities. She praised CWA for continuing the welfare activities undeterred by the pandemic. President CWA assured that the Association will continue its welfare activities with renewed dedication.

18 new regional CWA Centres were inaugurated by the CWA President who also unveiled the e-Calendar of the association. During the ceremony, Family Welfare Centres of RTC Peringome and Group Centre Lucknow were awarded the Best FWC prizes virtually and Best Lady Workers Prizes were awarded to the ladies for their outstanding contributions to the welfare causes.

CWA was established on 22 June 1995 with the aim of providing Welfare to the families of Jawans who are usually deployed across the country away from their homes. Since its establishment, CWA has been instrumental in providing assistance to families in times of need and empowering them. To this end, the association imparts vocational skills to the family members, arranges educational sessions related to health, career, women's health, career, children education, and adapts to new challenges for reaching out to the families.
