“A single pint of blood can save three lives, a single gesture can create a million smiles”. It is in this very spirit that more than 100 Bravehearts of CRPF serving the nation in Srinagar volunteered to donate blood for the humane cause. Srinagar Sector CRPF came together with Indian Red Cross Society to undertake this noble initiative which will augment the blood supply of Government hospitals in Srinagar.
Adhering to all the COVID protocols, the blood donation camp was organised at four different camps of CRPF where officers and men enthusiastically donated blood, the total of which reached over 125 pints. The representatives of IRCS J&K chapter, the doctors and technicians from local hospitals were present at all four locations.
The medical officers and technicians of CRPF too lent their assistance in the event. Charu Sinha, IG Srinagar Sector, under whose guidance this event was executed, congratulated all the volunteers and thanked IRCS J&K Chapter for coordinating the efforts. CRPF has always been at the forefront of contributing to the social causes in the areas of its deployment, and the ethos of the force not only instil the feeling of togetherness but also motivate its personnel to participate in selfless acts.
