The world's largest vaccination campaign (Covid-19 vaccination campaign) was started in the entire country on January 16, 2021 under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. On the same day, in the Union Territories of Dadra Nagar Haveli and Daman and Diu, covid-19 vaccination was also started under the able guidance of Praful Patel, Administrator, Dadra Nagar Haveli and Daman and Diu and Lakshadweep. Due to the continuous efforts of Administrator, out of the three districts of the state, Health Care Workers (HCW), Front Line Workers (FLW), 18+ years category, 45+ years and 60+ years categories in Diu and Daman districts. vaccinated all the beneficiaries and achieved 100% coverage.The target was to vaccinate 35433 people in Diu district in which 35442 people have been vaccinated, in Daman district total 165327 people were targeted to be vaccinated In which 165304 people have been vaccinated. A target was set to vaccinate 312672 people in Dadra Nagar Haveli district in which 185374 people have been vaccinated. Thus 59.3% people have been vaccinated in Dadra Nagar Haveli. War room has been set up in Dadra Nagar Haveli district in which 15 people are being called daily to inform 5000 people about the second dose of covid 19.
Complete vaccination is the only way to prevent the third wave of Covid-19. The administration has planned vaccination sessions in each village, in municipal wards, in different societies and in different settlements to ensure that everyone is vaccinated.
The administration has given Rs. An amount of 5 lakh has also been announced, in the village where 95% of the beneficiaries will be given both the vaccines of Covid 19. All the citizens of the state are requested to get themselves vaccinated and encourage others to get vaccinated, in this way all of us together can make the state free from infection of Covid-19. Vaccination is being done free of cost in the Union Territory.
It is the good fortune of our state that due to the efforts made to make the state covid-free under the able leadership and guidance of Administrator Praful Patel, 100% beneficiary people have been vaccinated free of cost in two districts of the state and in the coming days Dadra Nagar. The target has been set to vaccinate all the citizens in the Dadra Nagar haveli too.
