WOW! Sairat director Nagraj Manjule to collaborate with Amitabh Bachchan for Bollywood debut

Amitabh Bachchan is currently one of the busiest stars of Bollywood. He has been approached by many directors for the film. But recently, the news comes right from the tinsel town that Marathi blockbuster Sairat’s director Nagraj Manjule has approached Big B for his Bollywood debut project.

Interestingly, reports are also stating that Big B has signed the film and is all set to act in the ace director’s film. Well, Nagraj’s Sairat was the first blockbuster film in Marathi Cinema. Sairat was the first film to earn around 100 crores at the box office. Thus, Karan Johar was so impressed by the film that he bought the rights to make a Hindi remake of the film.

A source told Mumbai Mirror, “Nagraj worked on it for a year-and-a-half before taking the script to Bachchan in January. The project was locked soon after.” Moreover, the film is expected to go on floors later this year.

Big B’s character will be seen portraying the role of a patriarch with shades of grey. After all, Nagraj has always been known for making every character memorable on the silver screen. Nevertheless, Nagraj and Big B are fans of each other. Thus, it would be interesting to see these professionals collaborating with each other.

Talking about Big B’s projects, then Amitabh has recently finished his shooting for Thugs of Hindostan. The 74-year-old actor will also be seen 102 Not Out, Rythu with Krishna Vamsi. But, this film with Nagraj is going to be the special one for both of them.
