Woman ends life by hanging in Indore

She was harassed by in-laws for dowry

Indore: A 25-year-old married woman committed suicide by hanging herself from the ceiling in Heera Nagar area on Wednesday.

Family members of woman alleged that her in-laws were harassing her for the last few months. However, the police are investigating the case.

According to the police, Bhavna Gadwal of Meghdoot Nagar was taken MY Hospital by her in-laws on Wednesday evening where she was declared brought dead.

She hanged herself from the ceiling when she was alone at home. Her parents also reached hospital after receiving information where they had an argument with in laws and later they even started manhandling each other. The family members alleged that Bhavna was being harassed by in-laws for dowry.

The police intervened and pacified them. They were assured of fair investigation by the police. Later, the police have sent the body for autopsy and are taking statements of deceased’s parents and her in-laws to know the reason of her suicide.

In another incident, Monika Sharma, 28, a resident of Sudama Nagar committed suicide by hanging herself from the ceiling at her residence when she was alone at home.

The incident was discovered when her husband Kapil reached home from somewhere.

The reason of her suicide could not be established yet as no suicide note was recovered from the spot.
