Fiction Writing and Publishing Workshop 

What: Are you aspiring to be an author? Need some help with your novel? Notion Press, a self-publishing company in India, is organising a workshop to help fine-tune writing skills of first-time authors. Samsara Festival

What: Samsara in Sanskrit refers to the continuous cycle of life. It is an initiative to promote Bharatanatyam. The legacy left behind by the great dance and music maestros should be nurtured and encouraged. With the current emphasis on academics, very few students are taking up the fine art of Bharatanatyam dance today. Having grown up in Chennai, which is the centre of Bharatanatyam in India, Smt. Nandhini has always wanted to promote this wonderful classical dance. This led to the founding of Shree Paavitra Arts Academy in Mumbai as a charitable trust to build a platform to showcase this Indian classical art form.

What: The sixth edition of CITI-NCPA Aadi Anant festival seeks to celebrate the vitality of the guru-shishya tradition. Santoor is inseparably associated with Shiv Kumar Sharma, a living legend of Indian music. Having emerged as one of the most promising santoor players of his generation, Rahul Sharma, son and disciple of Shiv Kumar Sharma, is an icon of the youth today. His cross-cultural international collaborations with world-renowned artistes like the highest selling French pianist Richard Clayderman and such others have opened new avenues to connect the younger audiences with their roots. The father-son duo will perform a duet (samvad) on santoor to showcase the vitality of the guru-shishya tradition.
