Vehicles parked illegally on mandi premises removed in Ujjain

Ujjain: At least two dozen vehicles illegally parked on the Krishi Upaj Mandi premises were cleared by the administration and Chimanganj police on Wednesday. The long awaited action followed traffic snarls in the locality.

Challans were slapped on the vehicle owners. Several vehicle owners have been warned to remove their vehicles by Thursday morning.

Traders of the mandi were also advised to remove their goods kept on the road. The drive was launched in the presence of mandi president Bahadur Singh Bormundla.

Non-agricultural traders and agricultural traders have also been asked to remove goods kept in front of their shops by Thursday. Mandi vice president Sheru Patel, secretary Satish Patel and others were present.
