Liverpool : Spain’s Valencia CF topped English Premier League club Everton FC 3-2 in a friendly match held at Goodison Park stadium here.

The first half of the game featured end-to-end action on Saturday, with each team scoring twice in the first half-hour. But the La Liga side imposed some order on the contest in the second half, holding its opponent in check and getting one more goal to win its final away pre-season game.

Spanish forward Rodrigo opened the scoring for the visitors just six minutes into the game off a pass from Carlos Soler, while Turkish striker Cenk Tosun drew his squad level in the 17th minute with a shot that snuck just inside the far post. Midfielder Daniel Wass managed to seal the victory for the visitors 15 minutes before second-half stoppage time.
