UMC removes dilapidated portions of 80 year old building

Ujjain : A team of the Ujjain Municipal Corporation (UMC), on Saturday morning, began demolition of a portion of an eighty year old four-storeyed building, which suddenly collapsed on Friday evening. A sizeable portion of house number 196, on the fourth storey, Saifi Mohalla, on RP Bhargava Marg, had  collapsed, being in a dilapidated condition.

Members of the family of house owner Turrab, were present inside the home, though no casualties were reported. The UMC officials visited the site soon after the incident. As a precautionary move, two neighbouring houses were also vacated.
