Ujjain: The two-day youth festival of Vikram University (VU) began on Monday with over 350 students participating in at least a dozen literary, cultural and art competitions.
Inaugurating the festival, divisional commissioner MB Ojha, said these talented youth were the pride of the universities. “Youths should prepare themselves to do well in arts, culture and education, as well as accomplishing themselves in competitive examination,” he said. “Local administrative officers are eager to provide free-of-cost guidance to students, so that they can succeed in competitive examinations,” he added.
Delivering the presidential address, VU vice-chancellor Sheel Sindhu Pandey asked the students to bring positivity into their lives. He said that if only youngsters fix higher targets in their lives , they would get success. Additional director, higher education, Usha Shrivastava, organising committee president BK Mehta and Rakesh Dhandh were present. Rooble Verma conducted the proceedings, while Parikshit Singh expressed gratitude.
