Ujjain: VHP leader Mahesh Tiwari files police complaint against Paras Jain, Vivek Joshi

Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) Malwa Zone coordinator Mahesh Tiwari filed a police complaint against Energy Minister and BJP candidate from Ujjain North Paras Jain and BJP district president Vivek Joshi for threatening and abusing at Chimanganj police station on Thursday.

Tiwari, in his written complaint, stated that he had declined to campaign Jain in the recently held election and annoyed over this, Jain threatened him and said that he would close Tiwari’s school. The VHP leader further held that UDA chairman Jagdish Agrawal called him at 9.58 pm on November 27 and asked him to publicize in favour of Jain.

During conversation when Mahesh denied their suggestion, Vivek Joshi took phone from Jagdish Agrawal and abused him saying that he should stop negative publicity against Paras Jain and asked him to tender an apology to Jain otherwise he would face serious consequences.  Tiwari said that the VHP members unanimously decided not to campaign for Jain in the assembly election. Irked over this, Jain and Joshi threatened and abused him and also intimidated him of closing his school.

Tiwari along with VHP zonal president Anil Kasliwal, Vinod Sharma, Dhanna Sharma, Mohan Jaiswal, Hemant Gupta, Ashutosh Dubey and Bina Gupta reached Chimanganj police station and lodged a complaint against both the leaders on Thursday. Mahesh also sought police protection for him and his family members.
