Ujjain: Various social, religious and academic organizations bid farewell to Superintendent of police, MS Verma on Tuesday. Verma, who has been promoted as DIG, Gwalior, had a successful term in Ujjain and has been instrumental in successfully concluding Simhastha-2016 under his leadership, without any hitch.

To acknowledge his services, advocates felicitated him in a function in the presence of many prominent individuals of the city including, divisional commissioner MB Ojha, collector Sanket Bhondve, senior advocate Jialal Sharma and Pt Surendra Chaturvedi, Rahul Kataria, Naresh Vaswani, Ravi Solanki and others.

In another event, former corporator, Rajesh Jarwal and BL Patel honoured Verma and conducted a plantation drive in the ‘Masih’ compound, Dewas road. Zone president, Santosh Yadav, Dinu Badodia, Gopal Yadav and others were present. Furthermore, in an event conducted by ‘nagrik abhinandan samiti’ 111 organizations and religious heads honoured Verma in an event held at the premises of Madhya Pradesh institute of social science research.
