Ujjain: UMC razes many illegal constructions in Kolokhedi, recovers Rs 15 lakh of Property Tax

Ujjain: Taking harsh action against illegal constructions in village Kolokhedi Ujjain Municipal Corporation razed many constructions in the area.  According to details available some colonizers illegally were constructing houses in the area.

A team of UMC based on the instruction of municipal commissioner Pratibha Pal accompanied with the police force flattened houses of Yashodabai,Jaysingh, Pepabai, Babulal, Dinesh, Antarsingh, Ambaram, Kamalabai and other illegal constructions in the area. According to officials Kolukhedi area comes under Simhastha area where any type of construction is allowed.

UMC recovers property tax over Rs 15 Lakh from Hotel Vikramaditya

After the orders to be attached in the case of non-payment of property tax, a UMC team landed at Hotel Vikramadiyta, for further action on Wednesday. Following action the hotel owner paid the due property tax of Rs 15,32,556 by cheque. The cheque was handed over to UMC officials.

Luxury bus services inaugurated

Under Amrut Yojana for the conveyance of city dwellers, luxury bus services from Ujjain to Neemuchwas inaugurated by energy minister Paras Jain, mayor Meena Jonwal, district BJP head Vivek Joshi, MIC member Kalawati Yadav, Durga Choudhary, Satyanarayan Chouhan, Geeta Choudhary, RadheshyamVerma and Karuna Jain. The officials said these buses are air conditioned with comfortable seats.
