Ujjain: Scheme for farmers inaugurated at Chimanganj Mandi

Ujjain: Energy minister Paras Jain inaugurated a highly-ambitious ‘bhavantar bhugtan yojana’, at a programme organised at Chimanganj Krishi Upaj Mandi, here on Monday. He also distributed sale certificates to some beneficiary farmers.

MLAs Mohan Yadav, Satish Malviya, mayor Meena Jonwal, BJP presidents Iqbal Singh Gandhi (urban), Shyam Bansal (rural), mandi committee president Bahadur Singh Chauhan, Ujjain Development Authority chairman Jagdish Agrawal, divisional commissioner MB Ojha and collector Sanket Bhondve, were present during the programme.

The scheme includes crops like soyabean, peanut, sesame, ramtil, maize, moong, urad and tuar. The benefit will be available only to registered farmers on the sale of agricultural produce from Madhya Pradesh in notified mandi premises. The benefit will be given up to production limit, on the basis of average production, on crop cutting experiments. Under the scheme, the difference amount will be paid to eligible farmers by State Co-operative Marketing Federation and State Civil Supplies Corporation.
