Divisional commissioner MB Ojha released electoral directives during a meeting held at Simhastha Fair Office on Monday. He directed the officials to inspect the polling booths and to ensure free, fair and peaceful elections. He said 32 different types of training will be provided on Monday to the members involved in electoral process. Till now 18 training sessions have been provided to electoral groups and 14 sessions left will be finished in a given time frame. Following the Election Commission’s directive electoral groups will be provided training thrice.
IG Rakesh Gupta said training sessions should be made in interesting way and minute essential information should be covered properly. Model Code of Conduct should be followed effectively. It was also informed that public can use one flag on their vehicles but permission will be needed for commercial vehicles.
Collector and district electoral officer Manish Singh informed that ramps and wheelchairs will be provided for divyangjan at each polling booth, two doors at polling booth, separate toilets for male and female, clean water, light and shade facilities should be ensured.Singh directed the officials not to leave their respective offices without the permission of higher authority. Electoral preparations should be done in a given time frame with utmost sensitivity. EC guidelines and MCC should be followed properly.
SP Sachin Atulkar informed that 42 units of magistrates and police officers in moving and non moving groups cover the whole districts. 27 blockades point have been finalized where CCTV cameras will be installed. He also directed not to use religious places for political activities and vigilance for sensitive areas.
