Ujjain: Police nab thieves from Gujarat

Ujjain: The police arrested thieves from Gujarat who took away a Honda Amaze car on August 1. Mahakal police registered an FIR against the car thieves who stole the car and valuables owned by plaintiff Koushik Kumar, while he was asleep on the night of the incident under Section 379 of the IPC.

The plaintiff who was the driver of the car stated that the car was hired online by the accused to visit temples of Ujjain. A team formed under the observation and guidance of SP Sachin Atulkar and other senior police officials, collected information from toll plazas, CCTV footages and vehicle dealers. After extensive investigation, the police arrested Raj Pathak (23) and Yalgi Shrinu Babu(35), residents of Ahmedabad.

According to a press note released by the police department, the accused had owned up the crime. The police recovered the car worth Rs 7 lakh, a mobile phone belonging to the plaintiff, clothes and other goods from the accused.
