Ujjain: Police on Thursday busted a racket of robbers which was involved in several robberies and victimised many employees of finance company in the city. SP Sachin Atulkar told media that police nabbed eight habitual robbers from railway track near Alkapuri colony and recovered Rs 1.66 lakh cash bags, it also seized an LED TV set, mobile phones, 5 motor bikes, 1 scooter and 1 knife.

Miscreants looted Rs 1,14,895 form Bandhan Bank employee on May 25. They again looted Rs 29,235 from Rajpal Badgujar who works at Bharat Finance and again looted Rs 1,14,000 from Bandhan Bank employee Arjun Parmar. Those arrested are: Shubham (21) resident of Dhanch Bahwan, Kapil Wadiya (20), resident of Narayanpura, Himanshu Hanotiya (20), Ankit Gehlot (20) resident of Bagpura, Pravin Lodhwal(18) resident of Kishanpura, Golu Hanotiya (20) resident of Ambedkar Nagar and Ritik Betod (18) resident of Kishanpura. They have been booked under Section 394 and 392 of the IPC. The officials of finance companies congratulated the police department and felicitated the police team with bouquets.
