Ujjain: A case of fraud and cheating has been lodged against managers and colonisers of Parshvanath City. They have been accused of selling Ujjain Municipal Corporation’s mortgaged plots to more than 10 people for lakhs of rupees. A case of fraud has been lodged with Nagjhiri police station under Section 420 of the IPC.
According to SI Saleem Khan, Dr Abhilasha Maleej, Dr Pradyuman Maleej, Deepu Bharti, Anshul Bharti, Vasudev Waswani, Poonam Waswani, Sushil Dubey, Umesh Kant, Jagdish and Mohan Bhatia filed a complaint against Santosh Chincholikar, Manish Kothari and managers of Parshvanath City.
They claimed that the accused sold them mortgaged plots for lakhs of rupees through forgery. Following the plaint, a notice was served to Chincholikar and Kothari asking them to submit required documents. However, they failed to comply with it. As a result, an FIR was registered against them.
Khan also said that Parshvanath City has more than 1000 plots. Around 227 of them are mortgaged to UMC. Coloniser can sell those plots only after receiving a no objection certificate (NOC) from the UMC. The NOC will be issued only after coloniser completes all developmental work. The said colonisers and managers neither completed the developmental work nor took NOC before selling the plots.
