Ujjain: City witnessed ‘Om Namah Shivay’ yatra in which spiritual and religious saints along with thousands of devotees of Lord Mahakal chanted 5.60 e crore jap of ‘Om Namah Shivay’ mantra during a procession on Tuesday.

A mass procession was organised in which several religious tableau, statue of Mahakal made of vilvapatra seated on a rath, 51 batuks along with hundreds of women chanting religious mantras and 121 social groups participated in the religious event.

Spiritual and religious leaders Shantiswarupananda Giri Maharaj, Rangnath Maharaj from Telangana, Balyogi Umeshnath Maharaj along with public representatives, government officials were welcomed and greeted at several places by shopkeepers and businessmen and social groups during the procession.

Organising committee member Ravi Rai expressed gratitude towards the religious and spiritual saints, administrative officers, public representatives and thousands of citizens who e participated in the event. Organising committee’s Hari  Singh Yadav, Ajit Mangalam, Kuldeep Dhariya, Varun Verma, Ashok Maheshwari and several other members took part in the event.
