Municipal commissioner Pratibha Pal on Monday convened a meeting of sanitation workers and officials during which she asked them to work harder to maintain cleanliness in the city and retain the rank which the city obtained. She said, “We will definitely upgrade the city in the next cleanliness survey”. Pratibha insisted to remove the shortcomings in the work planning to maintain cleanliness. Segregation of garbage is very necessary, she said.
She advised the officials to give suggestions to make better cleanliness arrangements. Additional commissioner Manoj Pathak, Dhirendrasingh Parihar, deputy commissioner Yogendra Patel, Sunil Shah, Bhavishya Khobaragade, executive engineer (PHE) Dharmendra Verma, Rambabu Sharma and health officer BS Mehte attended the meeting.
The commissioner took the stock of cleanliness in ward number 36 and interacted with the residents of the area. She also instructed the officials concerned to demonstrate EVM and VVPAT machines at zone offices, polling booths, schools, colleges and other areas of the city so that the denizens may get familiar with the machines ahead of general election.
