Ujjain: Mujib Lala murder case accused sent on remand

Accused of the well known Mujib Lala murder case were handed over to the police by the first class judicial magistrate Afzal Khan on Friday. According to details available Madhav Nagar police demanded remand of Rajendra alias Samandar son of Vikramsingh Choudhary resident of Depalpur and Lokesh Sharma son of Gopal Sharma resident of Mhow who were arrested by the police and produced in the court on Friday.

An FIR was registered by the police under Section 302 and 34 of the IPC against the due for killing Mujib Lala on June 24, 2006. According to police on the day of incident Mujib Lala (30) resident of Mahananda Nagar was gunned down by some unknown miscreants. After being conducted thorough probe Madhav Nagar police arrested Sudeep Upadhyay who broke down and admitted the crime.

On interrogation he told that Lokesh Sharma and Rajendra Singh were also his accomplices in the crime. Both the accused about whom Sudeep told were already imprisoned in the Central Jail Ambala. Accused Lokesh Sharma and Rajendra Singh are serving the sentence under a case registered against the duo under sections 120-B, 124-B, 302, 307, 326 and 324 of the IPC and Section 150,151,152 Railway Act-3, PDPP and Explosive Act since April 09, 2013.

The accused were brought Ujjain by Hariyana Police after issuing a protection warrant by Ujjain court. On the request made by the police department the allowed 3 day remand for interrogation and recovery of used weapons in the crime by the accused. The case was advocated by district ADPO Rakesh Kataria , during the hearing Amit Chhari and ADPO Mahesh Chandrawat provided their assistance to Kataria.
