Ujjain: MP Malviya reviews government run schemes

Ujjain: District coordination and evaluation committee held a meeting on Tuesday. On this occasion Member of Parliament (MP) Prof Chintamani Malviya reviewed several government run schemes and projects. Rasthtriya Swasthya Mission, Swachchha Bharat Mission, midday meal programme, Pradhan Mantri Rojgar Srijan Programme and many projects were reviewed by Malviya who presided over the meeting.

District education officer was instructed on this occasion for ensuring proper safety measures for school going children and police verification of drivers and conductors of school buses. Hostels security must be strengthened and hostel buildings should be repaired, said Malviya. During the meeting a higher secondary school was also proposed at Patel Nagar. Instructions for removing encroachments on government buildings and allotment of land for model school were given during the meeting.

Malviya expressed his annoyance over mismanagement prevailed at government hospitals. He was also miffed on erroneous billing by office of Madhya Pradesh Electricity Board. He insisted on upgrading of computer system of MPEB. Officials were also instructed to demarcate land for 30 beds hospital in Mahakal area under Shahari Swasthya Mission. Malviya also stressed on uninterrupted power supply in rural areas and proper maintenance by the MPEB.

In relation to Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana people should maintain distance from mediators, advised Malviya. He said that a jan awas mela will be organised to curb corruption under this scheme.

Instruction for constructing public toilets, managing garbage, liquid waste management and promotion of cleanliness were made during the meeting. Banks were also advised to provide ease to customers for advancing loans without pendency. Collector Sanket Bhondve and other senior officials and public representatives were present in the meeting.
