Energy minister Paras Jain recently gave a dressing down to a housing board officer during a public programme and even threatened him with suspension. The minister was furious with the engineer for having performed bhumi pujan of developmental project worth Rs 8.5 crore at Gayakota without inviting public representatives.
Paras Jain was attending inauguration programme of Ayushman Bharat Yojana during which he found broken tiles in the Charak Hospital. He later inquired about the level of construction and maintenance and also raised the issue of bhumi-pujan. During heated exchange he scolded the officer and asked as to whether he was planning to contest the election. He also warned him of suspension. He strictly warned the officer not to start development work without his prior permission.
