Ujjain: MIC takes important decisions

Ujjain: Mayor in council (MIC) meeting was held on Tuesday in which several important decisions were taken. The meeting was headed by mayor Meena Jonwal.

During the meeting, members unanimously agreed to continue cleanliness awareness programme. Proposals related to construction of new commercial complex and residential complex at Indore Road were passed. Mayor Meena Jonwal instructed officials to inspect location and spot before sanctioning any construction work.

Municipal commissioner Pratibha Pal told officials that construction work should be carried out as per permission. MIC members Satyanarayan Chouhan, Nilurani Khatri, Radheshyam Verma, Durga Choudhary, Dr Yogeshwari Rathore, Mangilal Kadel, Karuna Jain, Geeta Choudhary, additional collector Manoj Pathak, deputy commissioner Yogendra Patel, assistant commissioner Subodh Jain, PRO Raees Nizami and other officials concerned were present in the meeting.

UMC to act against illegal cowsheds

Mayor Meena Jonwal and municipal commissioner organised a meeting to take action against stray cattle and illegal cowsheds. The mayor said that illegal cowsheds would be demolished by UMC with police help. The mayor and commissioner both appealed to owners of illegal cowsheds to pull it down to avoid legal action. Superintending engineer Hanskumar Jain, executive engineer Arun Jain, Anil Jain, Yogendra Gangrade and PC Yadav attended the meeting.
